Marsha’s first race

It's race day — and Marsha has never done this before.

In Marsha's First Race, Marsha steps onto the track for the very first time. Her heart is pounding, her hands are shaking, and every other runner looks faster and more confident than she feels. But with courage in her heart and her eyes on the finish line, Marsha learns the most important lesson in sports — and in life: you don't have to be the best to begin, you just have to be brave enough to start.

What young readers will learn:

• How to face first-time nerves with courage
• Why believing in yourself matters more than being perfect
• That hard work and heart beat fear, every time

A perfect read-aloud for parents, teachers, and coaches — and a story every young athlete, runner, and dreamer will see themselves in.
